Clinical Anatomy of the Eye

A must for eye anatomy. - This book is essential for anyone studying anatomy of the eyes. It is comprehensively written and illustrated and even manages to uncomplicate the visual pathway and the orbital nerve/vessel system..

a really wonderful book - I always hated anatomy as a pre-clinical medical student... and perhaps because I never really learnt it in enough detail, I have regarded the whole subject with a deep sense of insecurity ever since. I was therefore really excited to discover a book which makes eye anatomy seem easy and accessible. In addition to presenting anatomy in quite straightforward and logical terms, without the constant references to undefined structures which litter many anatomy books, Snell ends each chapter with several pages of clinical scenarios which make it all seem relevant, both to exams and real life. Intentional repetition of key points and diagrams throughout different chapters helps to reinforce learning, and after going through it once, the reader will find they are able to remember a surprising amount of detail.I therefore thoroughly recommend this book, particularly for those taking part 1 MRCOphth - it certainly helped me answer several of the essays in January s exam. It contains lots of detail which you would not really understand from reading Ferris alone, and is infinitely more readable than the anatomy chapter in Forrester.
